Proud Mama (as if I have anything to do with this)

A mom is allowed a good brag once in a while, right? So, I've maintained for quite some time that my darling girl is weird in the best way. She has the most varied and accepting palate of any child I know-- and even of many adults I know. For example, here she is eating a tomato (grown in my neighbor's garden) like an apple.

And this is the lunch she requested one day last month: cucumbers, plain raw spinach, an omelet (with tomatoes, green beans, onions, parsley, gouda, and zucchini), and peaches we picked from the farm. (and all those veggies from a local organic produce delivery service.)
She picks this kind of meal over chicken nuggets or mac & cheese every day, and I love her for it. (Sure makes my life easy knowing she'll never get scurvy.)

  1. That lunch looks GOOD. I must confess I'm kind of a picky eater. Bria is indeed brag-worthy.
